In this video, Mattie McCullough's granddaughter reads a little bit about Theo Boykin, the smartest person in Piedmont County in 1938-39, from a published book about the history of Baghdad, Georgia, and the first annual Baghdad Bazaar.
Here’s what the book looks like. You can actually buy it at the local bookstore or online. We’re calling it a novel so we won’t get sued. (Especially Gladys.) You can put most anything in a novel, because it’s fiction, not fact. That means it’s a made-up story—even if “it does not contradict what is known,” as our dear friend Mr. Barthelme used to say.
